The Ministry of Industry is boosting industrial collaboration through a strategic gathering, aiming to strengthen the industrial sector's synergy and self-reliance. The event, titled 'Synergy and Collaboration Towards Industrial Self-Reliance', was organized by the Center for Standardization and Industrial Services for Handicrafts and Batik (BBSPJIKB), a key working unit under the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Services Policy (BSKJI).
The gathering brought together a diverse audience of 200 participants, including government institutions, state-owned enterprises, industry experts, academics, and BBSPJIKB partners. The event's opening remarks emphasized the importance of open and constructive communication among all industrial stakeholders. The Acting Head of BBSPJIKB, Cahyadi, highlighted the event's role in disseminating information about the expansion of industrial service offerings, fostering future synergy.
A panel discussion featuring four speakers from the Directorate of Chemical, Textile, and Handicraft Small and Medium Industries, the Yogyakarta chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin DIY), and BBSPJIKB served as a strategic platform for exchanging perspectives and strengthening a shared understanding of future industrial challenges and opportunities.
This initiative also reflects efforts to enhance the agility of working units under BSKJI, enabling them to better respond to diverse industrial needs by expanding service scopes beyond the handicraft and batik sectors. During the event, BBSPJIKB presented certificates to companies that completed certification processes, promoting quality improvement and sustainable competitiveness within national industries.
The BSKJI Head, Emmy Suryandari, emphasized the agency's strategic role in strengthening the industrial ecosystem through standardization, industrial services policy, and quality infrastructure development. She noted that BSKJI, through its 24 technical implementation units, continues to enhance the quality and relevance of industrial services, ensuring stronger alignment with industry needs. The agency's commitment is to ensure national industrial products meet global standards of quality, safety, and sustainability, encouraging innovation and adaptation to industry demands.
