2026 New York Yankees Spring Training and Regular Season Media Credentials: Application Process (2026)

Media Alert: 2026 Spring Training and Regular Season Access

Attention all media! Starting today, you can apply for 2026 Spring Training and Regular Season credentials online.

Spring Training and Regular Season Credential Process:

• All requests must be made through the MLB website at https://credentials.mlb.com. No other applications will be accepted.
• Applications must be completed by a Sports Assignment Editor. You cannot request credentials for yourself.
• Upload a current headshot for each individual for whom a credential is requested. If you've applied before, your profile is already set up.

Spring Training Credentials:

• Apply for spring training credentials online. Applications must be submitted by a Sports Assignment Editor.
• Spring-long credentials at George M. Steinbrenner Field are issued to those covering the team for at least one full week in Tampa. Applications for these must be in by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2.
• Daily spring training credentials at Steinbrenner Field require applications submitted by 3:00 p.m. the day before the requested date.
• On workout and home game days, approved credentials are available at the Press Gate on the first-base side of the stadium.
• For road games, use the home team's section on the MLB Credentials website and notify credentials@yankees.com of your coverage needs.

Regular Season Credentials:

• Full regular season credentials are issued to those covering at least 40 home games. Applications must be in by Friday, March 13.
• These credentials can be picked up on any home game day at the Press Gate, located on E. 161st Street.
• Daily regular season credentials require applications submitted by 3:00 p.m. the day before the requested game.
• Daily credentials can be picked up at the Yankee Stadium Press Gate, located on E. 161st Street, starting five hours before night games and four and a half hours before day games.

Key Dates for 2026 Spring Training:

• Major League pitchers and catchers report: Wednesday, February 11
• Aaron Boone's first media availability: Wednesday, February 11 (time TBA)
• Major League pitchers and catchers first workout: Thursday, February 12
• Major League position players report: Sunday, February 15
• First Yankees full-squad workout: Monday, February 16

Spring Training Games:

• First Major League spring game: Baltimore Orioles, Friday, February 20
• First Major League home spring game: Detroit Tigers, Saturday, February 21, 1:05 p.m.
• 2026 Spring Breakout game: Atlanta Braves, Saturday, March 21 (time TBA)
• Final Major League home spring game: Philadelphia Phillies, Sunday, March 22, 1:05 p.m.
• Exhibition Games in Arizona: Chicago Cubs, Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, 3:05 p.m. ET
